Ohev
Shalom of Bucks County is a vibrant and dynamic
congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism. While we have grown considerably
from our 22 founding families in 1976 to approximately
700 today, we have worked hard to maintain a spirit of
caring for each individual member of our community. Our
congregation includes everyone - singles, young couples,
families and senior adults.
Our
programming reflects a spectrum of events designed for
all members of our community. We are committed to
outstanding education for our children. We have a full
time accredited Pre-School and Kindergarten, Religious
School and Hebrew High School. For a number of years, we
have had the one of the largest Confirmation Classes and
United Synagogue Youth Groups in the Delaware Valley. We
heavily invest in programs for adults, as evidenced by
our many clubs including Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Hazak
(Young Seniors) and Young Couples. We promote adult
Jewish education by our varied Beyt Midrash selections
in the Fall and the Spring semesters. We actively
support our community through our Social Action
programs, our participation in the Jewish Federation,
JNF and the Israel Bonds organizations.
The
fulfillment of our congregants’ spiritual needs is our
number one priority. Rabbi Eliott Perlstein’s spiritual
leadership can be felt from his presence on the Bimah
and from his constant personal interaction with each
congregant. As we continue to grow, it is our mission to
meet the spiritual needs of each and every congregant.
